Visual Basic .NET – School Projects
Project 1: Created a modular program for a fictional census bureau to obtain and analyze household income survey data within the Cincinnati area
– Utilized functions and procedures, arrays, multiple forms
– Saved data to and obtained data from a text file
– Analyzed data by total households surveyed, average household income, and percentage below poverty, broken down by race, county, and state

Project 2: Created a form that would calculate the price to build a custom desk
– Utilized DOM, external style sheet and script file, text change/key-up events
– Input (in text fields): width, depth, price per square foot; calculated base price
– Input (via radio buttons and combo boxes): number of drawers, type of wood; calculated total price

SQL Server – School Projects
Project 1: Created normalized database entirely from scripts for a fictional bookstore/warehouse, consisting of thirteen tables
– Scripted DROP/CREATE/ALTER TABLE, INSERT, SELECT, DROP/CREATE VIEW statements

Project 2: Created normalized database entirely from scripts consisting of five tables (Patients, Doctors, Hospitals, Insurance Companies, Races)
– Scripted DROP/CREATE/ALTER TABLE, CREATE INDEX, SELECT, UPDATE, DROP/CREATE VIEWS, DROP/CREATE/EXEC STORED PROCEDURES statements

C# .NET – School Projects
Project 1: Created MVC web application in C#
– Created style sheet for original look/design
– Created Model, View, and Controller items to connect with SQL Server database for CRUD actions using fictional data (AdventureWorks database)

Project 2: Created student website featuring small projects throughout 2 semesters
– Utilized SQL DataSource connections
– Utilized Entity Framework connections
– Created coding and SQL statements for Update, Review, and Delete of data

PHP and MySQL – School Project
Project 1: Created shopping cart website using PHP and MySQL allowing customer to select items and quantity of item, enter shipping information, and obtain shipping date
– Created MySQL database containing items in online store
– Created code to calculate tax if customer resides in Ohio, calculate shipping date, return total for order based on customer selection (item and quantity), and validate customer input (required fields for name, address, city, state, and zip)
